Sophie Reed

Sophie has been working in information governance for around nine years, following almost two decades in operational management and leadership roles mainly within the charity sector.

Her operational background, education, training, and personal experience have provided a strong foundation for understanding the complexity of situations that can arise in social care practice, particularly in the mental health, autism and learning disability sectors. Recently, these have led to involvement in a range of internal and external projects, including support of the Digital Care Hub’s development of interactive policy tools.  

Sophie is a Data Protection Officer, BCS certified Data Protection Practitioner and Caldicott Guardian for Milestones Trust, a charity based in Bristol. She has been a Caldicott Guardian for over 4 years and is a regular participant in the Caldicott Guardian Breakfast Club meetings.
