The UKCGC held its first virtual Annual Conference on 6 October 2026, bringing together a much larger audience than previously reached resulting in a hugely successful event with over 1,000 registering and an excellent attendance spread across the entire day.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for a day of incredibly interesting and thought-provoking presentations, discussions and shared learning. It was fantastic to see so many people come together to explore some of the key issues facing Caldicott Guardians and the wider health and care sector.
We were delighted with the feedback we received following the event. Of the 164 attendees who completed our feedback survey, 92% rated the conference 4/5 stars or 5/5 stars, and 97% said they found it either ‘useful’ or ‘very useful’ for their role.
Attendees particularly valued the range and quality of speakers, the relevance of the topics covered and the practical learning shared throughout the day. Sessions on AI and new technology, unauthorised access to patient data and changes in the law were among those highlighted as particularly useful.
We also received some really helpful suggestions about how we can make future conferences even better, including allowing more time for questions and discussion, creating further opportunities for networking and peer learning, and including more practical case studies and real-world examples.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that the date for the 2027 conference has been set! Next year’s conference will take place virtually on Wednesday 6 October 2027.
